Screen Printing first appeared in a recognizable form in China during the Song Dynasty. It is pretty much the same process today. You still use some method to create a stencil in a mesh screen for the purpose of passing ink through onto another type of medium like fabric or paper. It is also crazy, goopy fun that can make you want to tear your hair out if it is not cooperating. I love slingin’ ink.
I began offering Screen Printing as a service several years back when I purchased my own 4 color press. My intent at the time was to print my own designs and maybe try to get a few clients to pay off the equipment. I’ve since then paid off the press, purchased more equipment and continue to grow the Screen Printing side of the business. There is a lot of hard work involved but it is also a process I find enjoyable and rewarding.
Often times pricing for printing will confuse people so I would like to take a moment to explain how I and most shops work their pricing. There is a great deal of work that goes into setting up to print and breaking down after printing so as a printer you want to keep the press going as long as you can for each print. That is why print pricing will go down per shirt the more you order. I have an initial, one-time setup fee then I charge an amount to print the design per side plus the cost of the shirt. I can print up to 4 colors per side. I can print sleeves, pockets and legs of pant or shorts as well. I do offer embroidery services but those are handled through a third party provider who I trust. If you would like to request a quote please fill out the Quote Request Form found here and submit it. I will respond as quickly as possible, generally within 24 hours.
